Built by someone who's done the job

At The Admin Collective, we are redefining the traditional employer-employee dynamic by embracing flexibility and promoting collaboration to drive success in the ever-evolving landscape of business.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower independent wealth advisors and skilled admins to thrive through a modern, flexible partnership that prioritizes work-life balance and mutual success.

How it Started

The Admin Collective started with a simple problem. I was working at an independent advisory firm, getting ready to go on maternity leave, and I could not find anyone to cover my role for three months. Not because admins didn’t exist, but because they didn’t know the language of this industry: the difference between a traditional IRA and a Roth, how tax withholding works, what a move money request actually means, and getting them up to speed would have required far more time than I had.

After my daughter was born, I did not want to go back into an office five days a week. So I built something different: a way for independent wealth advisors to work with experienced, pre-trained admins who already understand the business, without having to hire someone full-time.

That idea became The Admin Collective. What started as a solution to my own problem has grown into a partnership model helping advisors and admins build better, more flexible working relationships.

Hi, I’m Mariah.

I’ve spent the last 13 years working alongside financial advisors, supporting practices of all sizes and seeing firsthand what makes some advisor-admin partnerships thrive while others struggle. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to interview hundreds of financial professionals, coach advisors and admins through the challenges of working together, and help practices navigate the operational side of growing their business.

With the founding of The Admin Collective, I’ve become a little obsessed with fixing what I believe is a broken part of our industry. Financial advisors spend years learning how to become exceptional advisors, but very few are ever taught how to hire, onboard, delegate to, coach, and manage an admin. At the same time, admins are expected to become trusted partners without ever being taught how to build that relationship either.

It shouldn’t be this hard.

Today, my focus is helping advisors and admins build successful partnerships that stand the test of time. The Admin Collective Method™ is the system I developed from years of watching advisor-admin partnerships succeed, struggle, and everything in between. It provides practical tools to help both sides communicate more clearly, establish expectations, and delegate with confidence.
